On Wednesday, 17th July 2013, Kamani conducted a workshop for professionals from the Hospitality world. Chef’s and Purchase managers of esteemed Hotels and restaurants (Sahara Star, Grand Hyatt, Kohinoor Continental etc) in Mumbai participated in the workshop. The prime objective of the workshop was to share knowledge about the production and R& D of an oil processing industry and to share information about the wide range of products that Kamani has to offer.

The workshop commenced with breakfast and a complete tour of the plant guided by Mr. Ramakanth Chavan (Manager, Plant). This was followed by a visit to the R& D and QC lab guided by Dr. Vrushali (Manger, R& D). The professionals were explained in detail about the working of the oil processing plant and R& D.

The factory visit was followed by a technical session conducted by Dr. K. D. Yadav (VP Technical) and Mrs. Gauri Iyer (Technical expert). The basis of fats and oils, current trends and the importance of transfree fats in the diet were the major topics discussed in this session. This session was an interactive session with our technical experts answering all the doubts pertaining to Fats and oils.

Detailed information about the complete range of Fats and oils offered by Kamani was discussed highlighting out ‘Lite Series’ i.e. Foodlite, Klite and Pufflite. Many chefs have started using Foodlite post this workshop after gaining insight into the benefits it possesses especially for the hotel industry.

The workshop was a grand success and Kamani looks forward to similar knowledge sharing experience.
